Sarpy County

An iconic sign and revamped wayfinding for Sarpy’s renovated campus.

As Sarpy County began work on major renovations to its main campus, including a new correctional center and remodeled administration building, the need for updated wayfinding became evident. We collaborated with Carlson West Povondra Architects to create a clear, clean, and easy-to-follow design system for pylons, overhead signs, and wall signage.

By integrating their existing copper as an accent color with a new charcoal-gray, we found an excellent balance that enhanced the signage's look and made it highly visible for easy navigation both inside and outside the campus buildings.

To cap off the project, Sarpy County asked us to design the exterior art for the new corrections building. The unique installation features images of Sarpy County history, wildlife, vegetation, and landmarks—illustrated entirely by thousands of holes punched into the solanum steel panels that wrap the sides of the building.
